Marek Health review: the concierge clinic that won't tell you the price up front

Verdict

No published prices — and that's the review. Marek Health runs a concierge model: a 1-on-1 video intake with a health coach, extensive custom lab panels, then a personalized protocol, all quoted individually after you're in the funnel. Its site confirms the structure — direct-pay, no insurance billing, no CPT/ICD codes for reimbursement, cancel anytime, no mandatory subscription — but publishes no consultation fee, no panel price, and no medication pricing. We don't repeat third-party price guesses as fact, so every figure here is "ask Marek, in writing." Cost-comparison shopping against this clinic is impossible by design.

The baseline for any TRT clinic: testosterone is a Schedule III controlled substance. Marek's labs-first, clinician-reviewed model fits what legitimate prescribing requires — its stated focus is "the client, not the prescription." Our concern here isn't legitimacy; it's that you can't price it before committing. We compare cost and logistics only; see our medical disclaimer.

What it costs — what their site actually says

ItemPriceStatus
Intake consultation (1-on-1 video, health coach)Not publishedQuoted on contact/signup
Diagnostic lab panelsNot publishedCustom panels are the foundation of the model; no menu pricing on site
TRT / hormone-optimization protocolsNot publishedPersonalized after labs and coaching intake
InsuranceNot billedExplicitly direct-pay; no CPT or ICD-10 codes provided; FSA/HSA invoices possible
Subscription / cancellation—No mandatory subscription; cancel anytime (per their site)

For contrast: Hone publishes every line item, Maximus publishes per-term plan prices, and even budget clinics advertise a sticker. A concierge service can be worth paying for — but "worth it" is only knowable against a number. Before any labs are drawn, ask Marek for the full first-year cost in writing: intake, coaching, every scheduled panel, medication, and follow-ups. Our TRT cost guide shows what the published-price alternatives add up to.

How it works

You sign up and schedule a video intake with a health coach to discuss symptoms and goals; Marek then orders comprehensive diagnostic labs and builds a personalized protocol, which its clinicians supervise — the site emphasizes evaluating overall health before recommending supplementation, nutrition changes, or hormone therapy. Payment is direct (email and phone contact for pricing); invoices can be submitted to FSA/HSA accounts, but Marek explicitly cannot support insurance reimbursement.

The ownership and marketing connection

Marek Health's co-founder is Derek, creator of the More Plates More Dates YouTube channel and podcast — Marek's own site lists him on its leadership team, and much of the clinic's audience arrives through that content. Nothing improper about it, but apply the same rule we apply to Hone's The Edge and TRT Nation's self-ranking listicles: content produced by a clinic's owner is marketing, not independent review, no matter how technical it sounds. Price the service on its written quote, not the channel's authority.

Where Marek wins

  • Genuinely comprehensive labs-first model with 1-on-1 coaching — more diagnostic depth than commodity TRT clinics advertise
  • No mandatory subscription; cancel anytime (per their site)
  • Clinician-supervised, personalized protocols rather than one-size pricing tiers
  • FSA/HSA invoices available

Where it doesn't

  • Zero published pricing — impossible to comparison-shop before entering the funnel
  • Cash-pay with no CPT/ICD codes — you can't even attempt out-of-network reimbursement
  • Concierge lab-heavy models generally cost multiples of commodity TRT clinics — get the annual number in writing
  • Marketing runs through its co-founder's influencer audience — separate the content from the quote

Who should pick Marek

Men who want concierge-depth diagnostics and coaching, have the budget for it, and are disciplined enough to demand the full first-year cost in writing before the first blood draw. If you want a price you can see today, every other clinic on our comparison table publishes at least a sticker — start with Hone for itemized pricing.
