What GLP-1 treatment actually costs in 2026

Telehealth ads quote first-month teaser prices. We compare what you'll pay in month four — membership plus medication, all-in — across every major provider, with a source and date on every number.

Prices last verified August 25, 2026. Providers change prices frequently; always confirm at checkout.

Before you compare telehealth: three cheaper paths worth checking

  • Commercial insurance + savings card → as low as $25/month. If your plan covers Wegovy®, Zepbound®, or Foundayo™, no cash program comes close. Check your formulary first.
  • Foundayo™ (orforglipron) — from $149/month self-pay. Lilly's once-daily GLP-1 pill, FDA-approved April 2026, available through LillyDirect. Eligible Medicare Part D members: $50/month since July 2026.
  • Manufacturer direct-pay: Wegovy® pill from $149/mo* and Wegovy® injection $349/mo via NovoCare® Pharmacy; Zepbound® single-dose vials from $299/mo via LillyDirect. Any licensed prescriber (including your own doctor) can send a prescription there — no telehealth membership required.

*$149 applies to the 4 mg dose under a promotion listed through Aug 31, 2026; standard price $199/mo. None of the programs in this box pays us anything — they're listed because they're often the best deal.

GLP-1 telehealth providers, compared

The ongoing monthly cost column is the number that matters: membership plus medication after intro pricing ends. "Compounded" means pharmacy-compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide — not FDA-approved products — prescribed under patient-specific rules. Read what that means before choosing one.

Which should you actually pick?

You have insurance that might cover it

Skip cash telehealth entirely until you've checked your formulary. Covered branded meds with a savings card run as low as $25/month. Ro and LifeMD both do prior-auth legwork if you want help; your own doctor can too, free.

Cash-pay, want FDA-approved medication

The pills changed this market: Foundayo from $149/mo (LillyDirect) or the Wegovy pill from $149–199/mo (NovoCare) — with a prescription from your own doctor or any telehealth provider. For injectables, Zepbound vials from $299/mo beat most platform pricing.

Compare direct-pay prices

Cash-pay, lowest monthly cost

Compounded programs are cheapest — Mochi (~$178/mo all-in, cancel anytime, video visit with a real provider) is our pick of that group on terms and transparency. Understand first that compounded GLP-1s are not FDA-approved and their legal lane is narrowing.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the price I saw advertised so much lower than your table?

Almost every provider advertises a first-month teaser ($39 memberships, $179 intro medication months). Our table shows the ongoing price — what you'll pay from month two or three onward — because that's what you'll actually live with. Teaser prices are noted in the sub-text where relevant.

Is compounded semaglutide the same as Wegovy or Ozempic?

No. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved, are not tested for safety and effectiveness the way approved drugs are, and the FDA has repeatedly warned companies for marketing them as equivalent. They're prescribed under a patient-specific compounding pathway. Some people choose them for cost reasons; that's a decision to make with clear eyes and a licensed clinician. Full explainer here.

Do any of these work with Medicare or Medicaid?

Most cash telehealth GLP-1 programs exclude Medicare/Medicaid patients (federal billing rules). The big change: since July 1, 2026, eligible Medicare Part D members can get certain GLP-1s for $50/month through manufacturer programs — ask your prescriber, not a telehealth platform.

Can I just ask my own doctor?

Yes — and it's often the cheapest route. Any licensed prescriber can send a prescription to NovoCare Pharmacy or LillyDirect for their self-pay prices, or run insurance the normal way. Telehealth platforms add convenience (fast async intake, no appointment), not access.

How do you make money?

Some provider links pay us a commission if you sign up. It never changes a price or a ranking, and several options we recommend (manufacturer programs, using your own doctor) pay us nothing. Full disclosure here.
